1. Water bottle - only water.  We don't want the mess.

2. Dinner and snacks - They will be here for five hours.

4. Quiet entertainment - there will be a lot of waiting.

5. You might want to bring an apron to wear over your costume when eating.

6. Bring your own hair brush and hairspray. If you wear make-up no blue, red or pink eye shadow.

COSTUME DETAILS:

Your HAIR must be secured out of of your face!  You can put it in a partial ponytail, bun, use a clip or anything to keep your hair out of your face when you move.  Short bangs are fine.

Dress Length:  the dresses need to be to the knee or up to 2 inches below the knee.  They should NOT be long dresses and most dresses need to be hemmed.

ALL Older Girls: Bra guidelines: black, white or nude.  Please no racerback bras. They look awful in the back.

Pre-Glee (4-6 year olds) : White tights, pink dress, black shoes with a heel and a strap.

Glee Girls (Monday 4:30 Class) : White tights, pink dress, black shoes with a heel and a strap.

Glee Team & GG Plus (5:30 Class) : Black tights, pink dress, black shoes with a heel and a strap.  Bring make-up – Lexi might not be there.

Glee for All (Early morning schools): See below

Glee Holiday Show Location

We’re excited! It is that time of year.  The music video shoot is coming up on Saturday, October 25th. At Glee Music Academy, we create music videos with our Glee Girls Plus and Glee Team girls to give them performance opportunities and so they can show their friends and family what they spend so much time doing. Through these videos, girls improve their musical abilities, as well as gain self-confidence and a positive self-image.

We use the same costume for each live performance, but there is a unique costume for every music video. There are 3 music videos each year. Details for this music video can be found below.

**Please order ASAP.** Everything is ordered online for this music video and if you do not have your costume on the day of the shoot, you will not be able to be in the music video. It should not be a problem if you order it this week.

Wear Tights to Rehearsal - ONE bag only

Bring one bag that will hold a brush and her shoes. If Pre-Glee and Glee Girls can wear tights to rehearsal that would be ideal. I think that will be complicated if we have all those little girls putting on tights. We will be in dressing rooms putting clothes on so I think that would be best. 

Hair

Please make sure hair is out of your face. Bangs are fine as long as they can't fall in your eyes. 


Make-up

Pre-Glee / Glee Girls can wear mild blush if they want but it is not required. A little blush will help their color under the lights, but we don't want street walker blush. 

Glee Team and GG Plus are encouraged to wear make-up. A little foundation and blush is good. The blush should be right under the cheek bones. If you wear eye shadow we ask that it be cream, browns, and grays. We do ask that you avoid pink and red eye shadow as on the stage it just looks like you have red eyes and haven't received your sleep. Eyeliner and mascara will look great on the stage if you want to add that too.

OC Fair Details: All Ages

Most of lots A-F are parking lots.  You pay $10 and you can park all day.  The shuttle will take you to entrance 4 and one half.  Tell them you are singing at the Hangar. 

Tickets for Pre-Glee and Glee Girls:  From 9:20-9:30, Karstin's friend Sunny will be at the entrance 4 and a half handing out tickets for the Pre-Glee and Glee Girls that don't yet have a ticket:

Call time: 9:00-9:10 AM in parking lot, 9:30 AM at the gate. We would like to go through all 40 minutes of the show before we begin.   Tell the shuttle you need the entrance for the Hanger or door 4 and one half.   That is where we are performing.

TICKETS: All performers get a free ticket to the OC Fair, but family and friends need to buy a ticket for the OC Fair. Our concert is free, as long as you have a ticket to get into the fair. The lines are terribly long so we suggest you buy them at home at this website.  Parking details are also at this link.

BRING:  Bag with clothes and shoes to enjoy the fair. Come with a water bottle and quiet entertainment.  Come dressed ready to perform. 

Parking: $10 per vehicle or you can try the Adams lot by Orange Coast College.  It is for performers and they might let you park for free if no one is watching the lot.  A shuttle will be available to take all performers from the Adams lot or any other lot to the fairgrounds.  You will want to tell them you are performing at the Hanger.

4th of July Parade

Event: Lake Forest 4th of July Parade

Day: July 4, 2014

Meeting time:  9:15am at Bank of America on El Toro near Trabuco Road.  The address is 22491 El Toro Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630.  Fresh and Easy is also in this complex.

Walking:  At 9:45am we will walk toward the staging area which will be a zoo.  The staging area is the corner of Toledo and Kitty.

Posted Parade Route & Time: 10AM - 12pm  If you would like to watch the parade.  The route is as follows - It starts at the corner of Toledo Way and Ridge Route moving West.  Then it follows Lake Forest North and then East on Serrano.

Ending time:  We are told the parade is over at 12pm. We are doubtful but could be surprised.  We are #83 with 95 entries so we are guessing between 12 and 1.  We are hoping 12 or 12:30pm but again we might be surprised.

Staging Area for Performances:  TOL - Toledo, between Killy & Ridge Route. Most units stage here.  This is not important for you to know unless you miss us at Bank of America.

Parade Location:  Parade starts at the corner of Toledo Way & Ridge RouteDrive (in front of El Toro High School) and ends at the corner of Lake Forest Dr. & Serrano Road.

Last Minute Parade Details

1. Be sure to come well fed.  We won't be able to eat during the parade.  The parade man says he thinks we will start before 11am so we might just be done closer to 12 rather 1pm.

2. There won't be anywhere to keep bags so don't bring anything except a water bottle with your name on it.  If you want to bring a phone we will have a box with phones in the car.  The black Flex will actually be in the parade so you will have access to your phone after the parade.   We don't have room for big bags in the car.  We are giving out balloons and the Helium tank is quite large and the music equipment will also be in the car.

3. To those who are borrowing a shirt from us, maybe you can put your shirt on at Free and Easy at the Bank of America waiting spot.  We would love to collect all non-Glee student shirts at the end of the parade.

4. You are allowed to wear sunglasses so you won't be squinting in the sun.  They are not required but it might be nice for your student to have some.

5.  You might want to wear sunscreen.  There will be sun.  We had a lot of sunburns during the Frozen video.

There is no rehearsal this Saturday. Saturday rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, except when we have a music video shoot on a Saturday. A music video shoot takes the place of a Saturday rehearsal. So again, no rehearsal this Saturday.

Bring an easily identifiable bag

With 18 girls participating in the video, keeping track of everyone's costume, make-up and snacks will be a chore.  Please bring ONE easily identifiable bag or backpack with the following:

a.  Your costume: Wear tennis shoes to rehearsal and bring ballet shoes. As we talked about in rehearsal no underwear with the tights.  As long as there are no panty lines the girls that chose to buy dresses instead of a leotard don't have to worry about it.  

b.  Hair and makeup things.  Come with foundation.  BRING blush, make-up powder, neutral eye shadow and make-up brushes for blush and eye shadow. 

c.     Snacks: something portable that won't melt or crumble.  Granola bars seem great for this. We will be providing pizza, chips and soda only at lunch.  And the girls will be there almost 8 hours. 

d.    Water bottle

e.  Quiet entertainment for when we are working with soloists. 

f.  An apron to cover your costume when we do make-up and eat food.  We have large garbage bags at Glee to use. 

g. Pizza money if we don't have it yet.
