Last Minute Parade Details

1. Be sure to come well fed.  We won't be able to eat during the parade.  The parade man says he thinks we will start before 11am so we might just be done closer to 12 rather 1pm.

2. There won't be anywhere to keep bags so don't bring anything except a water bottle with your name on it.  If you want to bring a phone we will have a box with phones in the car.  The black Flex will actually be in the parade so you will have access to your phone after the parade.   We don't have room for big bags in the car.  We are giving out balloons and the Helium tank is quite large and the music equipment will also be in the car.

3. To those who are borrowing a shirt from us, maybe you can put your shirt on at Free and Easy at the Bank of America waiting spot.  We would love to collect all non-Glee student shirts at the end of the parade.

4. You are allowed to wear sunglasses so you won't be squinting in the sun.  They are not required but it might be nice for your student to have some.

5.  You might want to wear sunscreen.  There will be sun.  We had a lot of sunburns during the Frozen video.

No rehearsal THIS Saturday.

There is no rehearsal this Saturday. Saturday rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, except when we have a music video shoot on a Saturday. A music video shoot takes the place of a Saturday rehearsal. So again, no rehearsal this Saturday.

This is just a reminder that there will be no rehearsal this Saturday because we did the music video last Saturday. Enjoy your weekend!

Bring an easily identifiable bag

With 18 girls participating in the video, keeping track of everyone's costume, make-up and snacks will be a chore.  Please bring ONE easily identifiable bag or backpack with the following:

a.  Your costume: Wear tennis shoes to rehearsal and bring ballet shoes. As we talked about in rehearsal no underwear with the tights.  As long as there are no panty lines the girls that chose to buy dresses instead of a leotard don't have to worry about it.  

b.  Hair and makeup things.  Come with foundation.  BRING blush, make-up powder, neutral eye shadow and make-up brushes for blush and eye shadow. 

c.     Snacks: something portable that won't melt or crumble.  Granola bars seem great for this. We will be providing pizza, chips and soda only at lunch.  And the girls will be there almost 8 hours. 

d.    Water bottle

e.  Quiet entertainment for when we are working with soloists. 

f.  An apron to cover your costume when we do make-up and eat food.  We have large garbage bags at Glee to use. 

g. Pizza money if we don't have it yet.

11.     Rehearsal is today from 4:30-6:00 PM to accommodate open house schedules.

22.     Some people are recording after rehearsal today.

33.     Ballet shoes- please make sure that the ones you bought either a) have elastic pre-sewn in or b) you have sewn in the elastic on your ballet shoes.

44.     If you want pizza and/or soda on Saturday, please make sure we have $5 from you by the end of rehearsal TODAY.

65.    On Saturday, you should bring:

a.     Your costume

b.     Hair and makeup things listed below

76.     If you want to pass off Frozen today, come at 4 PM. As a reminder, you need to pass off Frozen in order to be in the music video.

57.     Makeup and Hair- We need you to do some preparation before you get there on Saturday

a.     Makeup: Please come with foundation and powder already on your face. Bring mascara, blush, and any eye shadow you may have with you in the morning.

b.     Hair: Come with your hair in some sort of braided style. You can do French braids, fishtail braids, laced braids, etc. Here are some pictures to give you ideas:

Thursday rehearsal is EARLY & SHORT! Glee Team and GG+

Rehearsal for Glee Team and Glee Girls Plus will be on Thursday from 4:30-6:00 instead of the regular time at 5:30. That means it will only be 1 1/2 hours long instead of 2 hours long. Please plan on being there. This is our LAST rehearsal before filming day. I have checked with every person individually, and you all have said that you can come so we are planning on having you there for the time period you committed to. Thank you everyone and we'll see you Thursday!

GleeTeam Monday/Thursday Rehearsal

DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN
The choreography in "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" was pretty rusty on Saturday.  Girls really struggled knowing where to go and which way to turn.

To my Glee Girls Plus: I hope you can attend Monday and Thursday if possible.  We need the extra help to work on Do You Want to Build a Snowman.

I know there is an Open House for the elementary students on Thursday.  There are four songs in Frozen so it won't affect every song but we might have to take a few girls out of Snowman if they can't attend Thursday.  If you plan to not attend Thursday, please email me soon.

We made changes on Saturday:  To Alyssa and Ally: We changed the arms and legs to the ballet part in "Snowman".  Please ask someone to show you the changes.

PRACTICE WITH MUSIC
Please practice with your new CDs in the red bags and WRITTEN MUSIC. The girls struggled singing while they were dancing.  They have to know it so well that they can sing while they are dancing.  Only about six girls have passed it off.  Please be ready on Monday. 

PIZZA for SATURDAY
If you didn't sign up for $5 pizza and soda for lunch on June 7th please let me know so I know how much pizza to order.  Check or cash is fine.
